Nature Notes
The compound here in Addis contains a massively amount of wildlife. Yesterday I saw a monkey, and a flock (?) of vultures (a good eight, at least), eating terminates on the ground. They were no more than three meters away from me. But best of all in terms of my “getting close to nature” experience yesterday was when I managed to trip over one of the massive tortoises which live here. I reckon this specific tortoise was about 70cm x 40cm x 40cm. E.G, Big. Yet, despite its size, I managed to trip over it and fall flat on my face.

Apparently the collective noun for vultures is a 'venue' though I have no way to verify this claim!
